Mystisystems™
The Union of Subjective and Objective Sciences

Mystisystems™ is a systems understanding of existence using the polarity of subjective & objective sciences for inquiry. Both are essential.

Science
Science is a department of systematized knowledge.
Science is about a systematic search for truth through knowledge.
Science is about methods of inquiry and knowledge with verifiable quality outcomes.

Science is not about belief. With belief, inquiry stops. With belief there often is a cultural ‘joining’ that includes believers and excludes non-believers.

Reality does not require belief Truth does not require belief At the same time, there are truths, which are constrained by the system to which they belong. For these truths, there are vaster, more inclusive truths, of which they are a part of the even greater whole.

In Mystisystems’™ search for truth it is held that:
Science is knowledge or a system of knowledge covering general truths or the operation of general laws, especially as obtained and tested through systematic methods.

Mystisystems™ is a Science of Consciousness and a Science of the Mind in that it systematically explores truth. It explores a reality that depends, not upon belief, but upon direct experience with truth, which has two sides — Objective and Subjective.

We share with Ken Wilber, his four categories of approaches to the search for truth: Individual subjective, Collective subjective, Individual objective, and Collective subjective. Mystisystems™ views these four in the following manner:

• The individual subjective search for truth is an experience where, through reflection, the interior activity of the individual mind is independent from the exterior environment of communal time, space, and thought. Due to the lack of a shared environment, and an inability of others to cross the personal boundary of the individual subject, the isolation renders subjective experience unique to the individual. For this reason, validity is solely internal to the subject.

• This uniqueness does not out of hand invalidate the quality of individual experience regarding the search for truth. As the individual approaches archetypal levels of experience he/she is in the realm of the collective unconscious, which returns us to a common environment.

• The collective subjective search for truth is an experience where, through dialog, a social construction is formed unique to that collective boundary. The uniqueness of the construction serves as the participant’s truth. The truth is reinforced or rejected by a consensual change of boundaries of those inside the boundary, or the choice of a member to
withdraw from the collective construction.

• The individual objective search for truth is an experience where, through memory, the mind is in sensory contact with an objective world around her/him that is shared with the greater community. This commonality creates a field for the individual to empirically verify and govern her/him self, in concert with community, through laws, rules, and other defining
monitors of behavior.

With measurement and common sensory confirmation in place, exploration and learning through imitation and replicable experience prevail as the validation of truth. This existential constraint to sense confirmation validates itself through its own history. Its history becomes the rule of acceptance in community time, space, and knowledge.

• The collective objective search for truth is an experience where, through convention, embedded cultural symbols and systems of the collective determine behavior throughout the larger community.

Symbols such as myth, religion, hierarchy/class, and trade currency, etc. and systems such as contractual bonds, family, culture, organization, ritual, trade protocol, etc. are recognizable examples of this collective however unconscious they may be.

Mystisystems™ acknowledges the two ends of a polarity as inseparable. Inquiry into a polarity is governed by exploration of the polarity as a whole. Mastery of a gestalt of this sort is achieved through the management of the dilemmas presented in the symbiotic relationship of its poles. To know the truth held between these ends is not to embrace only one or the other with a faux resolution. Instead, one comes to know, use, and manage the dynamic tension between them both.

Through understanding how to be in the presence of the dynamic tension of all polarities, the mystic’s systems approach is able to manipulate subjective and objective sciences into a coherent whole. Though the mystic’s inquiry is generally seen as transcendental, there is a flavor of the sense-based existential in it. In the Mystisystems™ models we call this inquiry “existential transcendentalism.”

Though the transcendental lay beyond of the existential sphere of physical science, or sense-based knowledge, the approach of existential transcendentalism paradoxically subjects intuitive transcendent experience and knowledge to the rational validation of empiricism.

This ‘rational intuitivism’ occurs among mystics because the interdependent wholes of great truths have, through meditation and contemplation, been systematically unpacked by mystic masters and passed on to their disciplined students. Extensive research over centuries has made a broad base of mystics available to direct contact with systemic truths of a profound nature. As a mystic’s system model, Mystisystems™ is existential transcendentalism in that the transcendent can be subject to
rational intuitive validation and delivered empirically through intellect and metaphor by an experienced and skilled practitioner .

The practitioner knows that, as the laws of mundane truth are unforgiving of discrepancy, so too the laws of transcendent truth decline to yield their gifts through the channels of ignorance. Through meditation, contemplation, and experimentation the seeker-scientist, in search of verifiable and indestructible truths, must be equipped with both transcendent and existential insight.

Such intuitive empirical wisdom and rational empirical knowledge are both essential to perceive the trans-logic tapestry of existence. Being imbued with this paradoxical unity of wisdom and knowledge permits the Mystisystems™ practitioner to return to the community with themselves as the talisman of their transcendental journey. With mastery of self in both worlds of ‘here and beyond’ as the proof of their journey, the seeker-scientist delivers her/his knowledge through whichever art they possess.
